The Host

Chase H. Miller
I believe that spaces can heal. Not in the abstract sense—but in the tangible, measurable ways that strategy and architecture shape how care is delivered, how teams work together, and how patients and families experience some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
My career has centered on reimagining how strategic planning, design, and operations intersect to support better health outcomes. I’ve worked across the spectrum—from rural clinics and critical access hospitals to sprawling academic medical centers—helping health systems plan for what’s next while staying rooted in what matters most: people.
I have been honored to present at national conferences and publish research on care teams, visibility, team dynamics, and the impact of built environments on patient outcomes, and co-author pieces like Hospital Technology and Healing Spaces, which dive into the nuanced relationships between innovation, infrastructure, and human experience.
My drive to do this work isn’t just professional—it’s personal. Watching my wife navigate chronic illness opened my eyes to how much the built environment can help (or hinder) the healing journey. That experience fuels my commitment to laying the groundwork for a healthcare system that is not just functional but deeply empathetic.
When I’m not deep in project work or podcast interviews, you might find me on a run or swim, working with my hands, brainstorming over coffee with my team, or raising awareness for causes close to my heart. I believe leadership comes from lifting others—and I’m excited to use this podcast as a platform to elevate voices and ideas shaping the future of healthcare.
Thanks for being here. Let’s build something meaningful—together.
